The sunny collection from Jane Iredale is here! The Feeling Alive collection is complete with 6 individual pieces and available in two Grab&Go Kits.

De Pere at Dusk

On Tuesday, March 20 Haven will be hosting De Pere at Dusk, a monthly event for the De Pere Chamber that is open to the public. From 5:00-7:00pm join us for an open house which will include a tour of our facility, appetizers from Sgambati’s, wine, mini services, and gift bags.

If you have never been to Haven or you haven’t visited us in a while this is a great opportunity to get to know us. If you are our regular guest we would also love to see you. Our success comes from your loyalty and we would like to thank you at this event.

Trained to Tease

Do you work hard to give your hair a little extra volume but it just doesn’t stick?

Master stylist at Haven, Liza Thibodeau offers her tips to train your hair that its okay to be teased.

Start off using a tail comb and Bb hair powder. The hair powder comes in a variety of colors to match your hair shade. Pick up a section of hair no wider than the end of the tail comb. Shake the hair powder, spray at root (holding can 3″ away), then tease with comb. Repeat for a few sections, lay hair flat and gently smooth over the top. Finish with the Morocanoil Strong Hold Aerosol.

The hair powder is stronger than regular hair spray and is made to tease! If you want volume that lasts all day (or night!) pick up a can of Bb hair powder and get teasing!

Get Spring Break Ready

Need a break? Ready for Spring? Thank goodness it’s spring break season!

Whether you are gearing up for a trip south or to one of the great indoor water parks close to home, you don’t want to be caught in your bikini without having prepared.

No one wants to deal with the hassle of bringing a razor on vacation with them, or taking the time to shave. Alas, you need a wax.

Our skin therapists are highly trained in all waxes including leg, arm, underarm, bikini, and *brazilian.

All hair that  is being waxed is recommended to have grown for two weeks and be the length of about a piece of rice. Once waxed, hair is typically removed for about two weeks and then slowly begins to regrow.

My Laser Journey

If you have acne or other skin problems, this is a must read article! The first in a series of testimonials from Kaela, the daughter of Lisa Schmoock who is the owner of Haven Salon and Spa. Kaela will share her experience receiving treatments from The Cosmetic Laser Center. If you find yourself lost and not knowing how to solve your skin challenges, you might find your answer here!

During my freshman year of college I began battling acne. After trying what feels like every skin cleanser or regimen known, I am happy to say that I think I have finally found a treatment that works!

Just over a month ago I began taking a colostrum supplement recommended by The Cosmetic Laser Center.This natural supplement in powder form is working wonders for me! I just scoop a tablespoon full into my magic bullet and make a quick smoothie as I walk out the door every morning. In the first week I noticed an improvement in my acne.

My acne reduction continues to improve daily as I take the colostrum supplement and use Dermalogica and Jane Iredale products.

Get to Know Megan

Our full service salon and spa is staffed with highly trained professionals who each bring their own unique flair to our environment. Megan White is one of our expert aestiticians who adds her own twist to the care she gives her guests.

Megan has been with us since June 2011, as we approach her 1st anniversary we have learned a lot about Megan and want to share this opportunity with you to get to know her better.

After having a cousin pass away from melanoma in 2006 Megan knew she wanted to somehow get involved. She also loves working with people. As a skin therapist, Megan has the opportunity to help people protect their skin and work with people every day. Megan graduated from The Salon Professional Academy in Appleton in March of 2009.  Megan is trained in Aveda Skin Care, Dermalogica, and Jane Iredale. Currently, she is Dermalogica certified and as of this spring will be a Dermalogica Specialist.

Waxing and skin care are Megan’s specialties, and she loves to make people laugh. If you are looking for either a relaxing, zen hour or time for yourself Megan will be able to make you feel comfortable while providing an expert service.

Megan’s passion is learning and teaching. She loves the continuing education classes she  takes in Chicago. She says she is excited when she learns something new and is able to come back and share it.

Another fun fact about Megan: she follows a vegan lifestyle! She became a vegan on Aug. 1, 2009. We like to call her “Meegan the Vegan.”
